A very nice whaler made whalebone fid from the golden days of whaling.The fid is 9 7/8" long..tip is worn,and there is wear on the fid..it was used.The big end of the fid is carved in a square type of way.Nice mellow patina to the fid..getting hard to find..and at this price..almost impossible to find.
