A pretty wonderful wood fid that is highly decorative but appears that it was a working fid and used quite frequently.The fid is made out of wood..has owners initials carved into the end of the fid..KWT...fancy ropework on the fid itself and on the lanyard..some overall minor wear overall..but for a item that was apparently used...not bad.
The fid is 13" long..and is a PRIME example of a sailor made item,that was decorative but also functional.
Neat piece...and where ya gonna find another.Great for the nautical collector.
