Artist Peter A. Friedling served on the Tampa Fire Department from 1946 - 1972, when he retired as Assistant Superintendent of Fire Alarms. In retirement, Friedling was a sculptor whose art has been recognized and collected by firefighters and admirers since the late nineteen seventies.
The artist's admiration and respect for his "brothers", as he called his fellow firefighters, is reflected in each of his sculpted figures. Anyone who shares the artist's admiration and respect for our firefighters will be proud to win/own and display this tasteful presentation anywhere.
The piece I am offering for your consideration today is dated 1979 and is titled “The Rescue”. It is done in raised relief over copper background and has the engraved plate with the Friedling Studios mark and the date. It is pre-owned, however, in outstanding condition. If you google this artist, some of his work is online and this particular piece is priced at 104.50 plus 15.00 additional dollars for the engraved plate so this auction is a real steal for the real deal!! Be proud to own this!
