AUTHENTIC WHALING HARPOON TOGGLE Free shipping. This is an authentic whaling harpoon toggle that came from the Clifford Ashley estate. The toggle is in its original state, unfinished and quite rusted, but is circa late 1800’s. Clifford W. Ashley was from the New Bedford Mass. area, he was an artist, author and collector of whaling items. He authored THE YANKEE WHALER, ASHLEY’S BOOK OF KNOTS etc. Ashley actually went on a whaling cruise in the early 1900’s on board the Whaler SUNBEAM. Free shipping for this item. $125
