Handle section is 18” in length with the whip being over 30” long. Line covered handle is in a brown finish and the whip is natural. The cat o’ nine tails, commonly shortened to THE CAT is a type of whipping device for severe punishment, mostly by the Royal Navy and the Army of the United Kingdom. Also used for judicial punishment in other countries. Although not an antique it is a very good example of how the original could have been made.
