DESCRIPTION

EARLY AMERICAN MADE COMPASS no reserve!  !BUY IT NOW!  This auction is for a very good solid brass compass housed in a dovetail constructed box with sliding cover. This campass is made by and marked on the mariner’s dial "NEGUS - NEW YORK" with ser. # 103606 stamped on the brass bowl. Compass is 4 1/4" in daimeter plus gimbal ring. The red painted dovetail constructed box measures 6" X 6" X 4 1/4". Noting a minor section of the bottom under side of the sliding cover missing(see image), does not affect the operation or esthetics of the compass.
